Gonzalez v. Mazda Motor Corp.

Summary of Pending Case:

The firm represents owners of 2010-2015 Mazda 3 manual transmission vehicles that allegedly suffer from a defect in the clutch assembly. Plaintiffs allege the defect results in premature clutch failure, which causes vehicles to become inoperable (sometimes in the midst of traffic) and requires thousands of dollars in repairs. On January 5, 2017, the Court denied in part and granted in part Mazda’s motion to dismiss the complaint, and Plaintiffs filed a proposed Second Amended Complaint on February 23. Class certification and summary judgment proceedings are expected to follow.
