Jennifer W. Sprengel began her legal practice in 1990 and has handled a variety of commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts. She joined the firm in 1992 and is resident in its Chicago, Illinois Office. Ms. Sprengel is an experienced class action litigator in matters involving commodities, antitrust, insurance and the financial industries. Her practice encompasses the full spectrum of the firm’s industry involvement, including pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies, financial service firms, telecommunications, retailing and utilities. Ms. Sprengel has played major roles as co-lead counsel in actions involving such name-brand prescription drugs as Coumadin and Synthroid, and in shareholder and securities fraud actions against Caremark, Archer Daniels Midland and USN. Federal Judge Herman Weber praised Ms. Sprengel’s work on the co-lead counsel team as having provided “the highest professional service” to clients.

Ms. Sprengel serves as co-chair of the Antitrust Law subcommittee of the ABA Class Action and Derivative Suits committee. She is also a member of the Seventh Circuit Electronic Discovery Pilot Program Committee, and speaks regularly on eDiscovery issues.

Ms. Sprengel is admitted to practice law in Illinois, and holds several federal district and appellate court admissions.

Ms. Sprengel serves as the managing partner of the firm.

Ms. Sprengel is a 1990 graduate of DePaul University College of Law, where she was a member of the DePaul University Law Review. Her undergraduate degree was conferred by Purdue University in 1987.
